President Donald Trump made it clear on Friday that he would not hesitate to bomb Iran again if intelligence suggests that the country continues to have the capability to enrich uranium.
During a press briefing, a reporter questioned Trump on the possibility of another bombing if Iran reaches a concerning level of uranium enrichment. Despite the recent offensive strike by the U.S. obliterating three Iranian nuclear sites, uncertainties linger regarding the relocation of enriched uranium stockpiles and the status of centrifuges at nuclear facilities, as reported by POLITICO.
Trump’s Bold Statement
Trump asserted, “Once those bombs got dropped, the war was over.” His remarks were part of an extensive press conference where he highlighted various accomplishments, including this week’s NATO summit and favorable Supreme Court decisions.
He added, “We’ve had a big week, we’ve had a lot of victories this week. The war was a tremendous victory. We’ve been talking about this for 30 years, about Iran being nuclear, and all I said is it will not be nuclear.”
Following the conference, Trump took to Truth Social to criticize Ayatollah Ali Khamenei for claiming victory. Trump emphasized the destruction of Iran’s nuclear sites and his knowledge of Khamenei’s whereabouts.
Trump’s unwavering stance reflects the administration’s commitment to preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear capabilities. The ongoing tensions underscore the complex dynamics in the region and the global implications of Iran’s nuclear ambitions.
